Press statement for International Women's Day celebrations 2023

On 7th of March 2023 UWOPA led by the Vice Chairperson Hon Nabukenya Brenda, Hon Nakazibwe Grania Hope,  Hon Chemutai Everlyn and Moses Ntenga the Founder and ED of joy for Children held a press conference that was ahead of the IWD celebrations at Members lounge Parliament.

As UWOPA, we committed to continue to emphasize the importance of protecting rights of women and girls in digital spaces, addressing online and ICT-facilitated gender-based violence and also spotlight the importance of bringing women and other marginalized groups into technology which results into more creative solutions that enhance greater potential for innovations that meet women's needs and promote gender equality.
