Press Conference on “Miss Curvy Uganda pageant

Following the statement made by the Minister for State for Tourism and Antiquities, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda in his promoting Miss Curvy Pageant which made rounds on social media expressing women as a source of tourist attraction did not leave UWOPA Chairperson seated! 

A press conference was held at Members Lounge in which Hon. Nasiyoemphasized thatUganda had other avenues to earn foreign exchange like our diverse culture, landscape, flora, and fauna.

The Chairperson recommended that the state Minister for Tourism, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda withdraws his statement with apology to the women of Uganda and that the Miss Curvy - Pageant be revised and given clearance from the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity before it is allowed to be held in the country.
